WELDING TECHNICIAN - ASSEMBLER (BARRANQUILLA)

Job Summary: We are seeking a Welding Technician-Assembler to perform cutting, assembly, welding, and finishing operations according to specifications and blueprints, with experience in heavy machinery repair. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform cutting, assembly, welding, and finishing operations. 2. Interpret blueprints to schedule activities. 3. Conduct layout, cutting, assembly, tack welding, preheating, welding, and polishing. **POSITION TITLE: WELDING TECHNICIAN \- ASSEMBLER (For Barranquilla only)** **POSITION OBJECTIVE**: Execute assigned cutting, assembly, welding, and finishing operations in accordance with specifications and/or requirements stipulated in the Work Order (WO) and blueprints. Mandatory: **Technical and welding test conducted on-site; proven experience in repairing heavy machinery components; strict adherence to required profile** RESPONSIBILITIES: Report to immediate supervisor regarding tool, machinery, and material requirements needed for activity preparation. Interpret blueprints to schedule cutting, assembly, welding, and finishing activities, identifying materials, shapes, dimensions, and required characteristics. Select appropriate welding method based on client-specified requirements. Perform operations including layout, cutting, assembly, tack welding, preheating, welding, and polishing of metallic structures and hydraulic components, per blueprint provided by the immediate supervisor. Complete work order documentation. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Technical or technological degree in sheet metal and structural profile welding using SMAW and GMAW processes. This education must be validated by a competency certification in welding of metal-mechanical products, with specific requirements. EXPERIENCE: Two (2\) years of welding-related experience.
