This opportunity is on-site. **The Role** Wood Colombia is seeking a Fire Protection Mechanical Engineer for its professional engineering team, with experience in fire protection requirements analysis in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably in refineries, to serve as a Fire Protection Mechanical Engineer. Preparation of P\&IDs in SPPID and model checking in SP3D, among other analyses assigned to the discipline. * Define/Review, together with the Engineering Coordinator and/or Discipline Lead, the scope of the discipline for projects under development. * When required, lead small project teams during execution to ensure delivery of contracted engineering deliverables. * Develop discipline-specific deliverables, such as: Design Bases and Criteria, Fire Protection Systems Operation Philosophies, Equipment Lists, Specifications, Equipment Calculation Memoranda, Data Sheets, Material Requisitions, Inspection Plans, Vendor Document Requirements Lists, Technical Bid Tabulations and Purchase Recommendations. * Prepare system flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P\&IDs) for fire protection systems. * Ensure designs comply with international codes and standards including API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, ISA, OSHA regulations, as well as client specifications and sound engineering practices. * Conduct site visits for data gathering and information collection required for project development. * Develop typical engineering project documents across various phases (conceptual, basic, detailed), such as: Design Bases and Criteria, Calculation Memoranda, Equipment Lists, Sizing of Fire Protection System Equipment — all within the allocated budget for activities. * Participate in Operational Risk Analysis workshops and other safety assessments for oil and gas facilities. * Participate in technical proposal development for engineering project execution. **What Makes You Extraordinary?** At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunity and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team.
