This opportunity is onsite. **The Role** Wood Colombia is seeking a professional engineer in mechanical engineering or related fields, with 7 to 10 years of specific experience in engineering projects within the Oil \& Gas sector, to serve as a Mechanical Engineer. Define/Review, together with the Engineering Coordinator, the scope of the discipline for projects under development. * Lead project execution teams to ensure contracted engineering deliverables are developed. Develop discipline-specific deliverables such as: Design Bases and Criteria, Fire Protection System Operation Philosophies, Equipment Lists, Specifications, Equipment Calculation Memos, Data Sheets, Material Requisitions, Inspection Plans, Vendor Document Requirements Lists, Technical Bid Tabulations, and Purchase Recommendations. Prepare fire protection system Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Flow Diagrams. Ensure designs comply with international codes and standards including API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, ISA, OSHA regulations, as well as client specifications and engineering best practices. * Conduct field visits to gather required information for project development. * Develop typical engineering project documents across various phases (conceptual, basic, detailed), such as: Design Bases and Criteria, Calculation Memos, Equipment Lists, and Sizing of Fire Protection System Equipment — all within the assigned budget for these activities. * Participate in Operational Risk Analysis workshops and other safety assessments for oil and gas facilities. * Promptly inform the employer or contractor of latent hazards and risks at the worksite. * Provide clear, truthful, and complete information regarding your health status. * Comply with the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System rules, regulations, and instructions. * Promote comprehensive care of your health. **What Makes You Extraordinary?** At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team.
