As a Results and Education Evaluation Consultant, you will provide technical assistance to the Education team and work under the direct supervision of an Education Specialist, in close collaboration with the entire project team, covering all operations in the education sector. You will work in Education (EDU), part of the Social Sector (SCL). This team is responsible for the Development Effectiveness Plan of the IDB’s Education Division by developing standardized tools and methodologies for project design and evaluation, strengthening the monitoring and evaluation framework, improving the results-based supervision model, and supporting strategic decision-making on the education portfolio. Additionally, contribute to strengthening new models and methodologies for the 2026 Development Effectiveness Plan. **What You Will Do** ---------------- * Advance results-based supervision within the Development Effectiveness framework, supporting portfolio reporting with status analysis and outcome simulations. * Review financial planning instruments, monitoring reports, results matrices, theories of change, and cost-benefit analyses, identifying gaps and inconsistencies. * Analyze the education portfolio (quantitatively and qualitatively) across the project cycle (initiation, implementation, and closure). * Support the continuous improvement of project theories of change. * Provide evidence-based technical analysis and recommendations. * Monitor monitoring report (PMR) cycles through analysis and simulations. * Maintain and enhance supervision dashboards. * Contribute to the development of impact evaluation strategies. * Collaborate on economic analysis and cost-benefit evaluations. * Systematize evidence on effective education interventions. **What You Need** -------------------- * **Education:** Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Education, International Law, Social Sciences, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of this position. * **Experience:** Five years of progressive experience in results-based project monitoring and impact/policy evaluation. * **Languages:** Proficiency in Spanish and English, both oral and written. Knowledge of French and Portuguese is desirable. **Requirements** -------------- * **Citizenship:** You are a citizen of one of our 48 member countries.
