This is a great opportunity to take on technical ownership while helping shape the direction of impactful software solutions. **Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain robust backend services that support core application functionality * Contribute to technical decision\-making and help shape the overall direction of software solutions * Work closely with cross\-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical implementations * Identify and resolve complex technical issues affecting system performance and stability * Participate in the planning and execution of development work within an agile environment * Support the onboarding and technical growth of team members through guidance and knowledge sharing * Contribute to maintaining high standards of code quality through reviews and collaborative practices * Help drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and practices across the team **Requirements** * A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Python development * Strong proficiency in backend frameworks and technologies, such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask, including API design and optimization * System design expertise and solid knowledge of software architecture, including experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, API gateways, and inter\-service communication * Strong proficiency integrating data from multiple sources and formats, such as xlsx, PDF, CSV, and JSON, and consolidating it into a common data model * Experience managing less senior team members from a technical perspective * Advanced knowledge of shell scripting, such as Bash, with the ability to automate tasks and manage operating system\-level operations * Solid understanding of operating systems, particularly Linux/Unix, including process management, basic networking, and integration with the application layer * Strong problem\-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues * Strong commitment to test automation, including robust unit testing practices * Experience working in agile teams on complex, high\-stakes applications * Collaborative mindset, with a commitment to code reviews and peer learning * Comfortable working with teams distributed across different regions and time zones * Familiarity with Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence * Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher) **Nice to have** * Experience with Dagster for orchestrating and managing data pipelines * Familiarity with Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications * Proficiency with Pandas for data manipulation and analysis * Experience with ReactJS for building front\-end interfaces that integrate with backend services * Familiarity with TypeScript for developing type\-safe front\-end or full\-stack applications * Experience with dbt for transforming and modeling data within analytics workflows * Finance domain expertise, ideally within Payments or Treasury, to bring relevant business context to technical solutions **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn *EPAM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
