Job Summary: We are seeking a Conventional Lathe Operator for a metalworking company, responsible for operating a parallel lathe, manufacturing parts, and performing basic maintenance, ensuring precision and quality throughout the machining process. Key Highlights: 1. Parallel lathe operation for basic machining. 2. Fabrication of fixtures and tools. 3. Dimensional inspection and machine maintenance. A metalworking company requires a Conventional Lathe Operator (Male) for its team, with a minimum of one year’s experience operating a parallel lathe. **Main Responsibilities** * Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area. * Prepare tools and materials, ensuring they are appropriate for the machining process. * Verify that the machine has the appropriate coolant. * Perform dimensional inspection during the manufacturing of machined parts on the parallel lathe, recording results in assigned forms. * Upon completion of work, clean the machine and dispose of waste in designated locations according to proper classification. * Handle and care for measuring instruments. * Lubricate required machine components daily. * Perform basic maintenance routines and support preventive maintenance. * Fabricate necessary fixtures and tools for part machining. * Operate the parallel lathe for basic machining processes such as facing, external and internal turning, threading, and drilling. * Assemble parts and clamping accessories (e.g., self-centering chucks, independent-jaw chucks, plain chucks, steady rests, etc.). * Complete low-complexity spare parts with precision to tenths of a millimeter per drawing, for subsequent heat treatment or as directed by the supervisor. * Report anomalies occurring during machining processes. * Deliver parts to the next operation stage free of burrs and fully cleaned. **Requirements** * Male candidate. * Minimum one year of experience as a conventional lathe operator. * Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments. **Working Conditions** * **Work Schedule:** Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. * **Salary:** $2\.300\.000 to 2\.700\.000 depending on experience \+ Transportation allowance \+ Statutory benefits.
