Job Description
Position Purpose
Responsible for comprehensive leadership of the Multi-Species Business Unit, with focus on Swine, Poultry, and Aqua business lines, ensuring achievement of the unit’s commercial, financial, and strategic objectives. This role is accountable for P&L performance, driving profitable growth, market penetration, commercial execution, and innovation within a highly dynamic and competitive environment.
The incumbent must translate corporate strategy into concrete plans and actions for sales, marketing, technical, after-sales, and other internal teams, ensuring coordinated and efficient execution with customers, industry stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Additionally, the role is responsible for leading team development, strengthening key customer and strategic partner relationships, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, ethical, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the Multi-Species Business Unit strategy, aligned with corporate objectives and long-term planning.
* Lead the unit’s commercial and financial performance, ensuring achievement of sales, margin, profitability, and market share targets.
* Manage the unit’s P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and monthly performance tracking.
* Optimize pricing, portfolio mix, and promotional investments to maximize profitability.
* Coordinate portfolio planning and new product development, driving innovation and adaptation to market needs.
* Ensure effective cross-functional execution across sales, marketing, technical, after-sales, logistics, customer service, and production.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and other relevant market participants.
* Lead, develop, and retain the team, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, ethical, pharmacovigilance, and quality system requirements.
* Identify risks, implement controls, and promote continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Position Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial leadership or business management roles, ideally within the poultry and/or swine sectors.
* University degree in scientific, commercial, or business disciplines; postgraduate studies preferred.
* Experience managing multi-species portfolios or animal health businesses.
* Strong capability in team leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional execution.
* Strong commercial, financial, and strategic orientation, with experience in P&L management.
* Knowledge of the animal health market and dynamics of poultry, swine, and aquaculture segments is desirable.
* Fluent/Advanced Spanish and English
* Ability to lead in change-driven environments, foster innovation, and develop talent.
* Willingness to travel 50%
