We are committed to delivering quality craftsmanship, organized project execution, and a positive customer experience. We are seeking an experienced Drafter / Designer to join our team. As a Drafter/Designer you will play a pivotal role in bringing our clients' visions to life. Using Chief Architect software, you will create detailed designs and renderings that showcase our high standards and innovative approach to remodeling. **Responsibilities** * Develop detailed CAD drawings and 3D renderings using Chief Architect software. * Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements. * Assist in the preparation of project proposals and estimates. * Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates for remodeling projects. * Ensure designs meet local building codes and regulations. * Work closely with architects, engineers, and designers to understand project requirements and translate concepts into technical drawings. * Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure designs are accurately implemented on\-site. * Revise drawings and plans based on client feedback and project requirements. * Keep comprehensive records of all drawings and revisions to ensure accuracy and accountability. * Identify and resolve design\-related problems or discrepancies during the construction phase. * Keep abreast of industry trends, new CAD technologies, and best practices to enhance design efficiency and quality. **Qualifications** * Experience in residential remodeling sales or design\-build consulting * Strong understanding of home construction, materials, and design principles * A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred but not required. * Previous experience in residential remodeling design (2\+ years). * Proficiency in Chief Architect is required. * Strong understanding of building codes and regulations. * Experience in preparing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. * Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design. * Ability to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * A strong portfolio showcasing previous CAD drafting work, particularly related to residential construction. **Compensation** $8\.00 \- $10\.00 USD Full\-time ### **Equal Opportunity Employer** Stella Construction \& Home Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
