Job Summary: We are seeking a Welder/Assembler to interpret drawings, assemble metal structures, perform welding, and ensure quality and safety in metalworking processes. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in SMAW, GMAW (MIG), and/or FCAW welding 2. Interpretation of fabrication and assembly drawings 3. Quality assurance for welded joints and finishes Job Description: A leading company in the metalworking sector requires a Welder/Assembler to join its workforce. Academic Qualifications: Technician or Technologist degree in Welding, Metal Construction, Fabrication of Metal Structures, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in welding and assembly of metal structures. Main Responsibilities: Interpret fabrication and assembly drawings. Perform assembly and fitting of metal structures. Carry out SMAW, GMAW (MIG), and/or FCAW welding as required by the project. Cut, mark, tack, and prepare materials for fabrication. Verify dimensions, levels, and squareness during the assembly process. Operate hand tools and cutting equipment. Ensure quality of welded joints and finishes. Comply with occupational health and safety procedures. Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area. Support assembly activities at the plant or on-site as required. Competencies: Teamwork.
