Job Summary: We are seeking a Backend Data Engineer with experience in data processing and batch/ETL process development, focused on handling large volumes of information in complex and legacy environments. We are looking for a **Backend Data Engineer** with experience in data processing and batch/ETL process development, focused on working with **large volumes of information** in complex and legacy environments. This role requires expertise in **Java \+ Apache Spark (LRBA)**, oriented toward optimization, data quality, and operational stability in production environments. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and optimize **batch/ETL processes with Apache Spark**. * Implement backend solutions in **Java (preferably Java 17\)**. * Process large volumes of data while ensuring **performance and quality**. * Analyze, maintain, and evolve **legacy systems**. * Perform troubleshooting, log analysis, and resolution of production incidents. * Implement automated tests (**JUnit**) and quality control. * Manage code versions using **Git**. * Document technical and functional processes. * Work across **DEV, UAT, and PROD** environments, ensuring operational stability. **Technical Requirements** * Backend development with **Java (Java 17 preferred)**. * Experience with **Apache Spark (DataFrames, joins, partitions, performance)**. * Proficiency in **advanced SQL**. * Experience in **ETL / batch processes** with large volumes of data. * Automated testing with **JUnit**. * Proficiency with **Git**. * Experience working with **legacy systems**. * Knowledge of production monitoring, support, and incident management. ### **Desirable** * Orchestration: **Control\-M, Airflow**. * Data lakes and modern formats (**Parquet, partitioning, compression**). * Observability: metrics, alerts, retries, idempotency. * Code quality tools (e.g., Sonar). * Optimization of Spark pipelines and DAGs. * Experience in banking/finance. **We Offer:** * Prepaid medical insurance * NEORIS Days (3 free days) * Annual performance bonus * Vacation bonus * Training and upskilling platforms * Connectivity subsidy Learn more about us at http://www.neoris.com, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or Instagram: @NEORIS.
