This position is for SUPPLA S.A. **Role Description** -------------------- We are seeking: SST Coordinator Location: Medellín \- Antioquia Schedule: Monday to Friday (on-site) **We Offer:** Direct employment contract with the company Benefits **Role Objective:** Lead, control, advise on, implement, and monitor technical support systems across various departments regarding industrial safety and risk identification, in full compliance with regulations (impact of non-compliance with internal or external legal obligations), asset management (loss, damage, destruction, or unavailability of buildings, facilities, equipment, and inventories—both owned and third-party), and risks to people (injuries to employees or third parties); environmental risks (damage to the environment), among others. **Requirements** ---------------- **Academic Qualifications:** Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields, with certification and/or specialization in occupational safety and health, HSE, and a valid SST license. English proficiency level B2, and proficiency in AI and database management. **Experience:** 3 years in the role involving occupational safety and health (SST) document management, audits, accident/incident investigations, emergency response teams, drills, labor legislation, first aid, and process management for certification under industrial safety standards. **Responsibilities** -------------------- **Responsibilities:** * Provide technical support for developing, adjusting, and implementing the Occupational Health Program. * Understand Colombian legislation and ensure the company’s compliance. * Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures in all activities. * Participate in and advise on procedures for investigating and reporting accidents/incidents, as applicable. * Periodically participate in occupational health audits and inspections. * Budget and manage resources to ensure effective occupational health management. * Establish mechanisms to inform employees about the risks they face, their possible consequences, and corresponding preventive measures. * Advise the organization on the proper use and optimization of resources provided by ARP, EPS, and Family Compensation Funds. * Attend meetings with authorities (e.g., Ministry of Labor, ARP) and/or companies requiring specialized occupational health management information, as invited. * Advise on implementing prevention and epidemiological surveillance programs to ensure risk control and strengthen the company’s preventive culture. * Ensure all company personnel—including contractors—are aware of and apply the occupational health policy. * Maintain communication with area advisors to promptly adjust standards, procedures, and plans. * Prepare, communicate, disseminate, and advise on the implementation and practice of occupational health-related policies, standards, and procedures. * Strengthen incident/accident reporting and investigation processes in order to: * Identify and recommend necessary adjustments to incident/accident reporting procedures and methods to ensure regulatory compliance and consistency. * Participate in accident investigations and review completed investigations. * Maintain an accident database. * Coordinate information on statistical reports and summaries presented to all managerial levels. * Disseminate lessons learned. * Design and implement the inspection program. * Verify service quality delivered by relevant providers. * Issue periodic reports showing results achieved in occupational health activities, trends, and requirements to strengthen management. * Ensure timely updates and availability of occupational health documentation and records. * Attend various company and industry safety committees to exchange information and provide technical assistance. * Develop and maintain appropriate professional relationships with national regulatory authorities. * Provide technical support during contracting processes to ensure contractor management in occupational health. RESPONSIBILITIES IN INDUSTRIAL SAFETY, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM * Understand and participate in the company’s and contractor’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) system. * Report safety incidents and participate in investigations when required. * Understand and execute the company’s and contractor’s risk analysis procedure. * Understand and apply basic concepts and activities related to Health, Safety, and Environment procedures (e.g., emergency plans, fire extinguisher handling, solid waste segregation, etc.). * Understand, apply, and comply with the Environmental Management System (EMS) guidelines per the Environmental Policy, as well as established programs, procedures, and instructions within the company.
