ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INTERNSHIP PROFILE Student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Food Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. Skills: teamwork, organized and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills. RESPONSIBILITIES * Support the sensory team in conducting sensory evaluations—including discriminative, descriptive, and consumer acceptance tests—under the supervision and guidance of direct supervisors, following departmental guidelines and protocols. * Prepare the following solutions: descriptor reference standards, basic flavor solutions, and other solutions required for sensory evaluations. * Assist in preparing forms, products, samples, materials, and other items required for sensory evaluations. * Enter data and tabulate results from conducted sensory evaluations. * Support adherence to sampling schedules for accelerated product stability evaluations, and assist in evaluating such samples under the guidance and supervision of the direct supervisor. * Support updating the department’s sensory test databases and tracking internal company panelists. * Support using software: FIZZ for sensory test design and XLSTAT for statistical data analysis. * Collaborate on tasks required by direct supervisors to conduct sensory training courses. * Assist with additional tasks arising within the department.
