Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced laboratory assistant to support faculty members, supervise laboratory practices, and optimize laboratory processes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Laboratory practice assistance 2. Laboratory process supervision and optimization 3. Laboratory materials and equipment management In this instance, we require a laboratory assistant with at least one year of experience in similar roles and formal training as a laboratory technologist or equivalent. It is essential to possess a professional license issued by the Colombian Chemistry Council. The selected candidate will be responsible for: * Timely preparation of required materials and equipment for laboratory practices. * Assisting faculty members as needed during laboratory practice sessions. * Supervising the handling of reagents, equipment, and supplies during scheduled open laboratory practices. * Authorizing open laboratory use for users requiring such access (e.g., classroom projects, research, research seedbeds, master’s programs, other programs). * Developing strategies aimed at improving and optimizing laboratory processes and services (e.g., preventive maintenance, cleaning, signage). * Periodically updating inventories of laboratory materials, supplies, and equipment. * Ensuring compliance with established regulations.
