A recognized organization is seeking a **Production Coordinator** to join our Industrial Plant team. Your primary objective will be to plan, coordinate, and supervise plant production operations, ensuring efficient execution in compliance with quality, safety, and delivery timelines, optimizing resources while leading supervisors and operators. GENERAL POSITION DETAILS: * **Position:** Production Coordinator * **Department / Area:** Production / Industrial Plant * **Reports To:** Production Director / General Management * **Work Modality:** On-site work at the industrial plant KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * **Planning and Execution:** Develop and implement weekly production plans, balancing production lines according to operational needs. * **Supervision and Leadership:** Directly coordinate and supervise supervisors’ and operators’ activities, ensuring discipline, order, and cleanliness in the area. * **Efficiency and Continuous Improvement:** Monitor process efficiency, production times, waste reduction, and participate in implementing continuous improvement methodologies and cost optimization. * **Quality and Industrial Safety:** Ensure strict compliance with quality standards, industrial safety regulations, internal procedures, and mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * **Cross-Department Coordination:** Coordinate with Logistics, Quality, Maintenance (supporting preventive and corrective maintenance planning), and Procurement to guarantee proper material flow. * **Administrative Management:** Manage the plant’s petty cash fund and consolidate payroll updates for personnel under supervision within defined schedules. * **Personnel Development:** Train and develop operators, promoting teamwork and achievement of production targets. * **KPI Management:** Periodically monitor and report key performance indicators (Cost of Production, Operational Efficiency, Quality/Reprocessing, and Inventory Adjustment) to management. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Production Engineering, or related fields. Additional training in production management, Lean Manufacturing, or team leadership is desirable. * **Experience:** Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production coordination or supervision roles within industrial or metal-mechanical plants. * **Required Technical Knowledge: * Production planning and control. * Quality management systems and ISO standards. * Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications. * Productivity, efficiency, and waste control metrics. * Proficiency in computer tools and production planning software (ERP, Advanced Excel, etc.). * **Core Competencies:** Leadership, ability to motivate and develop teams, excellent organizational skills, strategic vision, decision-making under pressure, effective communication, proactivity, and results orientation. WORKING CONDITIONS: * **Salary:** COP $2,200,000 + statutory social benefits. * **Work Schedule:** Full-time, with possible extended or rotating shifts depending on production needs. * **Work Environment:** Regular exposure to plant conditions (noise, heat, and mandatory use of PPE). * **Availability:** Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
