Job Summary: The Quality Technician verifies and ensures that products meet customer specifications and quality standards, supporting the team to improve productivity and maintain departmental performance indicators. Key Highlights: 1. Ensures compliance with customer and Avient specifications. 2. Acts as a technical resource for production in quality-related issues. 3. Generates ideas for continuous improvement and cost savings in procedures. The Quality Technician is responsible for performing various required tests and/or adjustments to verify and ensure that products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Additionally, supports the work team in maintaining departmental performance indicators and improving productivity without accidents. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** * Performs standard tests on production batches and on certain incoming raw materials as needed, ensuring compliance with Avient and customer specifications. * Acts as a technical resource for production in addressing quality issues related to production batches. * Provides recommendations to production and may implement adjustments to manufactured batches to meet agreed-upon specifications. * Records test results in SAP; maintains reference files. * Accurately and reproducibly performs the methods, analytical protocols, and experimental procedures described in quality procedures. * Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. * Ensures all testing instruments and equipment are verified. * May participate in complaint investigations and corrective actions as needed. * Supports the design/operations department in tasks that can be performed and for which training has been received. * Develops and maintains a safe working environment and good housekeeping conditions. * Generates procedural improvement ideas that enable continuous improvement and organizational cost savings. * Attends and participates in relevant training opportunities and seminars for this position. * Performs other duties as required. **Physical Demands** While performing these tasks, the employee must regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; speak and hear; occasionally sit; frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally handle up to 50 pounds. This job requires specific visual abilities including near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires personal protective equipment (PPE), including dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. **Scope** Manufacturing Plant \- Cota **Education** Technical diploma, technological degree, or university degree in Chemistry, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. **Other Requirements** * Minimum 1 year of experience in color and color concentrates, preferably in the thermoplastic industry. * Availability to work rotating shifts from Monday to Saturday. **Work Location** Cota Parcelas \- Exiting via Calle 80
