At present, we have an opening for the position of Technical Agronomist in the Eastern Zone based in Villavicencio, and we require a leadership-oriented, experienced, and highly motivated individual whose primary purpose is to ensure the joint execution of the commercial strategy with the Sales team by developing farmer-centric nutritional solutions for the Meta and Casanare departments. The Technical Agronomist’s role focuses on implementing and developing technical value propositions, defining and developing strategic agronomic components of the value proposition—primarily for Rice, Maize, Soybean, and other key crops in the Llanos region—which must include: Implementation of the Yara Crop Nutrition Solution / Program, integrated tools and services; structured upon continuous diagnosis and monitoring of crop dynamics in Colombia and the company’s defined strategy (BP\-Crop RoadMap). This position is located in Colombia and will report directly to the National Semi-Annual Crops Leader, with its base in the Meta department \- Villavicencio. **Responsibilities** -------------------- Establish specific field trial requirements to build and validate agronomic arguments supporting each product line’s proposals; define types of activities (R\&D, local trials, demonstration plots, demos, etc.) with specific objectives, required resources, and work schedules jointly with Account Managers and Sales Managers; develop, support, and implement the strategy and Go-to-Market plan; document field results and define the theoretical\-practical foundation of the “Features – Arguments – Benefits” proposal (agronomic, economic, logistical, etc.) according to the target segment. Design and implementation of the Agronomic Plan: strategic approach aligned with market positioning and organizational vision; methodology for implementing the Yara Crop Nutrition Solution, based on comprehensive crop diagnosis in Colombia and identification of segments and decision-making units (DMU); scheduling of demand-generation, outreach, support, accompaniment, and internal training activities; execution schedule by zone – priorities – responsible parties for execution\-impact evaluation; working in close synchronization with the Sales team. Identification of business opportunities aligned with regional and national crop trends, opportunities for new tools and services that can be integrated into our value proposition, and premium product strategies ensuring budget achievement; development of nutritional solutions based on Premium Products for regional crops, with special emphasis on focus crops. Development and implementation of crop- and product-specific training programs in collaboration with the Sales team, aligned with the designed value proposition. Sales Budget: Achieve sales volume across all product lines while maintaining portfolio indicators established by the Company to contribute to business profitability. **Profile** ----------- Agricultural Engineer with minimum 5 years’ experience in the agricultural sector for semi-annual crops such as Rice, Maize, Soybean, and other relevant crops in the Eastern Zone. Experience in field trial development, research and/or technical assistance for crops in the Eastern Zone (Meta\-Casanare). Knowledge and experience in crop nutrition and agronomic criteria including planting, genetic material, pest and disease management, climatology, production systems, agricultural mechanization, mineral nutrition, plant physiology, soil chemistry\-physics, and practical application. Fertilization management for Rice, Maize, Soybean, and other crops in the Eastern Zone. **Additional Information** -------------------------- Knowledge of applied statistics in agriculture and principles of agricultural extension. Preparation and delivery of high-impact presentations. Proficiency in basic system tools: Office; foundational knowledge in precision agriculture. Specialization in areas related to soils, crop production, plant physiology, etc. is desirable. Intermediate\-advanced level of English is desirable.
