Position Summary: We are seeking a Data Science and AI Support Professional to design and implement automated systems for extracting, processing, and validating academic information in higher education in Colombia. Contribute to high-impact technological and academic initiatives We are currently developing a nationwide project focused on establishing strategic guidelines for incorporating Artificial Intelligence into higher education in Colombia. We seek a **Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Support Professional** to support the design and implementation of automated systems for extracting, processing, organizing, and validating academic and scientific information. The selected candidate will participate in analyzing the educational offerings in Artificial Intelligence by processing curricular maps, academic profiles, and scientific output from technical, technological, and university programs across Colombia. **Responsibilities / Job Functions** ------------------------------------------- * Assist in identifying and analyzing websites and sources containing the information required for the project. * Collaborate in defining objectives, technical requirements, and the structure of data to be processed. * Support the development of automated systems for extracting, processing, and organizing information. * Participate in web scraping activities and processing of academic and scientific information. * Support data validation and verification processes through cross-checking and manual testing. * Contribute to processing, cleaning, and organizing large volumes of information. * Support the implementation of Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions for analyzing keywords related to Artificial Intelligence. * Participate in testing, fine-tuning, and technical validation of developed solutions. * Contribute to documenting processes and consolidating results from the project’s technical component. * Attend in-person meetings in Cali, Medellín, and Barranquilla, incorporating outcomes into the final document. **Requirements** -------------- * **Professional degree** in Data Science, Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields. * **Postgraduate degree preferred** in related areas. * **Minimum two (2) years of professional experience** in data processing and validation using Python. * Experience in processing and organizing information. * Knowledge of tools and methodologies for data analysis and processing. * Experience in implementing Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions is desirable. * Analytical ability, organizational skills, and capacity to document technical processes. * Collaborative work skills and ability to track activities. **Conditions** --------------- * Location: Bogotá D.C. * Work modality: Remote, with possibility of in-person attendance as required by the project. * Working hours: Monday to Friday — 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. * Contract type: Fixed-term contract for the duration of the project. * Payment: Monthly fees. * Availability to travel if required. **Documents Required for Hiring** -------------------------------------- * Updated resume with academic supporting documents. * Diplomas and graduation certificates. * Employment or contractual certifications related to the position. * Valid Tax Identification Number (RUT). * Disciplinary background clearance certificates.
