Position Summary:
Lead the implementation and supervision of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for an ECOPETROL - REFICAR overhaul project, promoting a preventive culture and effective risk management.

**Your Typical Day**
As an EHS Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and supervision of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs during the execution of a major overhaul project for our client ECOPETROL \- REFICAR in Colombia. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and client representatives to ensure compliance with the highest safety standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate guidelines, promoting a preventive culture and effective risk management throughout all project phases.
**Your Responsibilities**
* Lead on-site implementation of project EHS programs, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy, client, and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Conduct daily safety inspections, safe work analyses, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards associated with steam turbine and generator overhaul activities.
* Manage incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive action plans, ensuring proper follow-up and closure.
* Serve as the primary EHS contact point for the project team, contractors, and client representatives.
* Promote a strong safety culture through continuous operational support and specialized technical advisory services.
* Ensure compliance with applicable Colombian legislation regarding occupational safety, health, and environmental management.
* Administer and maintain legal documentation, permits, records, and reports required for project execution.
* Plan, conduct, and document audits, inspections, and verifications of established safety standards.
* Prepare and present periodic EHS performance reports, including metrics, findings, incidents, and improvement opportunities.
* Evaluate working conditions and recommend technical solutions for risk and unsafe condition mitigation.
* Design, coordinate, and deliver training programs on topics such as working at heights, confined spaces, electrical safety, and risk management.
* Supervise the selection, proper use, and maintenance of personal protective equipment required for project activities.
**Qualifications for This Role**
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
* Valid Colombian Occupational Safety and Health license.
* 5–8 years of professional experience in EHS roles.
* Proven experience in large-scale industrial projects, plant shutdowns, overhauls, or major maintenance activities—preferably in the energy, oil, and gas sectors.
* Solid knowledge of risk analysis, safe work analysis, incident investigations, and industrial safety standards.
* Experience in regulatory compliance and management of applicable legal requirements in Colombia.
* Knowledge of occupational hygiene, fall protection, confined spaces, and electrical safety.
* Experience conducting safety audits and continuous improvement processes.
* Ability to apply technical criteria and safety engineering principles to risk assessment and mitigation.
* Competencies: leadership, effective communication, influence, analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, attention to detail, and teamwork.
