Role Purpose: Ensure sustainable profitability and growth of the insurance portfolio for the assigned country or market by leading the underwriting and pricing strategy, defining and governing underwriting standards and practices, and ensuring underwriting decisions align with risk appetite, applicable regulations, and the company’s strategic objectives. Responsibilities: * Define and execute the underwriting and pricing strategy for the business portfolio, aligned with the global strategy. * Develop, update, and govern underwriting policies, standards, guidelines, and processes for the lines of business under responsibility. * Establish and maintain risk appetite, underwriting limits, authority delegations, and acceptance criteria, ensuring proper communication and compliance. * Analyze technical results and market trends to identify growth opportunities and emerging risks, proposing and implementing corrective actions. * Serve as the highest level of underwriting authority for complex or exceptional cases. * Drive the use of data, advanced analytics, and digital tools in the underwriting and pricing process (risk models, segmentation, technical pricing). * Ensure underwriting practices comply with local regulations, internal risk policies, Compliance standards, and Group guidelines. Education: Degree in administrative or financial disciplines; ideally with technical certifications in insurance/underwriting. Minimum 12 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a strong background in underwriting.
