Design project management and prototype validation Position: Underwear Designer Responsibilities: - Create and formulate design concepts for garments, apparel, textiles, footwear, leather goods, accessories, components, and costumes for theater, film, opera, ballet, and other performances. - Conceive, plan, direct, and project costume, accessory, garment, footwear, leather goods, component, or textile designs for theater, film, opera, ballet, and other performances from a holistic perspective, based on identified design opportunities. - Harmonize aesthetic considerations with technical, functional, ecological, and production requirements. - Propose and represent alternative solutions and design concepts, preparing technical sheets, sketches, diagrams, illustrations, blueprints, samples, virtual or physical models, photorealistic images, or prototypes. - Select, optimize, and recommend the use and application of functional and aesthetic materials, manufacturing methods, finishes, and other resources for producing designed costumes, textiles, or accessories. - Define and document technical specifications and information for garments, footwear, leather goods, accessories, or components. - Direct and supervise the preparation of patterns, programs, tools, as well as the manufacturing process of designed costumes, textiles, or wearing accessories. - Direct, validate the development and implementation of prototypes or samples of designed garments, footwear, leather goods, accessories, and components. - Research fashion and consumer market trends and analyze inventory turnover. - Investigate user needs, understand the human-artifact-environment relationship, and identify relevant state-of-the-art knowledge for designing required costumes, wearing accessories, or textiles. - Estimate material manufacturing costs, production timelines, and methods. - Manage design projects for costumes, textiles, or wearing accessories. - Validate designed costumes, textiles, or wearing accessories according to technical and user requirements. - Perform related duties. · Knowledge: -Customer service -Design -Industrial, fashion, and interior design -Textile products (apparel, footwear, and leather goods) · Skills: -Assertive communication -Critical thinking -Teamwork -Complex problem solving -Needs analysis -Judgment and decision making -Time management -Working under pressure -Proactivity -Creativity · Education: Technician or Professional Degree Experience: 1 year Salary: 2 to 4 minimum legal monthly wages Work Schedule: Day shift Work Location: Medellín Contract Type: Permanent · - Proficiency in Optitex software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Wilcom, etc.). -Requirements- Minimum education: University degree / Technological program 1 year of experience
