Join a winning team with a clear purpose, committed to delivering results in an inclusive, high-performance environment. **Purpose** The BNS Manager leads and oversees activities and is responsible for managing and supporting all Contingent Worker Divestiture activities from Legal Day 1 onward during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures under the Transition Services Agreement established in the Purchase\-Sale Agreement or unification of participating entities, ensuring that strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed in accordance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and procedures of BNS Scotiabank. **General Activities – During the Transition Services Agreement** * Liaise between the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department (post-closing) and BNS departments (Hiring and Onboarding, Service Now, Human Resources, Contractors, etc.). * Receive and process ScotiaID and VPN requests for new employees of the acquiring bank. * Maintain tracking and records of ScotiaID and VPN requests. * Receive offboarding requests for Contingent Worker Divestiture Employees (CWD) from the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department. * Receive, review, and manage approval or rejection of escalated CWD tickets in Service Now. * Coordinate with Scotiabank Governance and the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department to follow up on semi-annual LAM/GIAM certifications, preventing escalations to Scotiabank VPs. * Monitor registration and control for contractor offboarding upon contract expiration. **Specific Activities – During the Transition Services Agreement** Leads, participates in, controls, and updates Scotiabank Contingent Worker Divestiture processes. **1\. Onboarding Process** * The acquiring bank’s local Human Resources department receives a request from the hiring manager to create a ScotiaID and system access for new employees. * The acquiring bank’s local Human Resources department completes the request template and emails it to AskHR@scotiabank.com, copying the BNS Manager, where the Scotiabank Hiring and Onboarding team follows up. * The BNS Manager tracks all requests by logging them into the tracking register to ensure timely processing of all requests. * Scotiabank Hiring \& Onboarding manages ScotiaID creation and, once assigned to new employees, notifies the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department via email, copying the BNS Manager. * The acquiring bank’s Human Resources department receives the ScotiaID from Hiring and Onboarding and contacts the hiring manager to prepare and submit the LAN form to the local Technology department. * When the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department receives system access credentials from the Technology access team, it forwards them to the hiring manager. * Upon receiving the email copy from Hiring and Onboarding containing the ScotiaID, the BNS Manager sends the new employee’s name and ScotiaID to Scotiabank Global Mandatory Learning and to local Human Resources (if applicable) to exclude them from courses, as they are CWDs. * Scotiabank only manages ScotiaID and Scotiabank VPN for technology application access; it is not responsible for providing technology equipment to new users. **2\. VPN Requests** * The acquiring bank’s Human Resources department receives a VPN request for an employee from the hiring manager and emails it to the BNS Manager. * The BNS Manager logs the request into the control form and monitors it to ensure timely processing. * Using the new employee’s ScotiaID received from the Hiring \& Onboarding email, the BNS Manager manages VPN access per the hiring manager’s request. * Once the BNS Manager receives VPN/token access credentials from the Technology VPN access team, they forward them to the hiring manager so the new employee can access VPN using the password sent directly to the hiring manager. **3\. Offboarding Process** * The acquiring bank’s Human Resources department receives an employee termination request from the hiring manager, submits the form to the BNS Manager, and manages immediate technology access deactivation. * The BNS Manager submits the termination request to AskHR and receives confirmation of successful employee deactivation at Scotiabank; weekly follow-up is conducted on employee terminations. * The BNS Manager informs the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department that the employee has been deactivated at Scotiabank. **4\. Service Now Service Request Approvals Process** * Upon receiving an email requesting approval of a Service Now ticket, the BNS Manager must review the ticket’s purpose. If it pertains to a BAU process, approval is granted directly via the link in the email. * The BNS Manager contacts the user if clarification is needed to determine whether to approve or reject a ticket; authorization proceeds accordingly. Before rejecting a ticket, the BNS Manager contacts the user to clarify and proceed. * The BNS Manager’s role as approver concludes once the ticket is approved or rejected. If further escalation beyond BNS approval is required (e.g., to a Scotiabank VP), the Service Now team will manage subsequent escalation levels. **5\. Contractors/External Workforce Offboarding Process** * As the person accountable for external worker profiles during the TSA, the BNS Manager must track and update each external worker’s contract end date. * The BNS Manager overseeing Scotiabank’s external workers must keep worker profiles updated in the ScotiaContractor platform. * On each external worker’s contract expiration date, the BNS Manager must deactivate them in the ScotiaContractor system and notify the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department. **6\. LAM/GIAM Certification Process** * The BNS Manager tracks and manages the four certification groups (Delta Manager, Full Manager, Role Composition, and Mover Composition) for CWDs and Contractors related to Technology applications: LAM / IAM / GIAM, using information published in the Enterprise Access Governance certification calendar. * The BNS Manager maintains communication with the acquiring bank’s Human Resources department to ensure CWDs complete certifications before the deadline to avoid escalations to Scotiabank VPs. * As the manager responsible for Contractors, the BNS Manager must ensure Contractors under their supervision complete certifications before the deadline to avoid escalations to Scotiabank VPs. **Education / Experience / Additional Information** * Basic experience in technical support or application support. * Technician or professional degree, preferably in Information Technology fields. * Basic knowledge of information systems, software usage, and applications. * Minimum English level A2. A higher English proficiency is a strong differentiator. * Excellent motivation, with the ability to prioritize and consistently handle a variety of tasks and situations. * Time management skills, multitasking capability, and adaptability to shifting priorities. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style. #### **Working Conditions** * Work in a standard office environment; atypical hours are uncommon.
