




Job Summary: We are seeking a Gas Analyst to conduct market analysis, prepare operational reports, and manage natural gas purchase and sale contracts. Key Responsibilities: 1. Analysis and management of the natural gas primary and secondary markets 2. Preparation of operational and commercial gas reports 3. Management of nominations and monitoring of gas contracts We are looking for a Gas Analyst **with 2 years of experience** residing in **Bucaramanga.** **Professional Qualifications:** * University degree in engineering or related fields * Preferably supplemented by additional studies in gas-related subjects. **Working Hours:** * Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 – 5:00 pm * Saturday and Sunday: SPOT nomination hours **Required Experience:** * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar positions **Required Knowledge:** 1. Knowledge of the operation and regulation of the natural gas primary and secondary markets 2. Knowledge of preparing operational reports for the Natural Gas Market Manager 3. Knowledge of executing natural gas purchase and sale nominations 4. Knowledge of the Segas platform 5. Knowledge of various natural gas markets, industrial customers, and transportation systems 6. Knowledge of the country’s different gas transportation platforms 7. Knowledge of using the BEC platform 8. Knowledge of transportation capacity analysis 9. Knowledge of various natural gas production fields **Main Responsibilities:** 1. Preparation and documentation of minutes from commercial meetings and commercial committee meetings 2. Daily market surveys (prices and available quantities) and preparation of weekly verification reports 3. Completion and updating of control files 4. Drafting official letters and responding to communications from regulatory entities, companies, and suppliers 5. Preparing reports on competitive processes in the primary market and their respective summaries 6. Preparing operational reports for the company’s subsidiaries 7. Monitoring the execution process of natural gas purchase and sale contracts 8. Conducting daily SPOT gas sales within established timeframes 9. Submitting buy/sell offers on the SEGAS platform and monitoring open sale processes 10. Registering gas sales and buyer-side peak closures with the Natural Gas Market Manager and regulatory authorities 11. Sending and tracking pre-settlements, invoicing, and payments, as well as reviewing information received from counterparties 12. Controlling and recording: prepayments and their management; receipt and dispatch of offers; contractual and commercial documentation in tracking folders 13. Preparing the GRC2 and SUI reports within established deadlines 14. Maintaining updated records of gas balance/imbalance with market agents.
