The Role We are currently seeking a dynamic and open-minded Senior Electrical Systems Consultant to work in a rapidly expanding sector. You will have the opportunity to deliver state-of-the-art Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) to some of the world’s most promising electric utilities. You will participate in the design, construction, configuration, testing, and delivery of these systems, working closely with other motivated consultants and our clients. Specifically, you will work on the Outage Management System (OMS), covering both operational and IT domains of the electric utility; you will develop systems that improve grid operations efficiency and collect information and data to support its operational functions. These systems will enhance the utility’s smart grid capabilities by providing a detailed view of electric grid operations. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the electric grid and deliver environmental impact through conservation of essential resources. Your Impact * Develop and execute system development plans, considering software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment. * Work closely with clients to understand their operational needs, deliver system training and configuration to meet those needs. * Conduct system and validation testing with clients. * Develop scripts and other middleware solutions for integration with third-party systems. * Solve complex problems and collaborate with technical experts across various domains. * Facilitate workshops with clients. * Travel to client sites and collaborate directly with them to successfully deliver, test, and integrate systems. What You'll Need * Bachelor’s degree in applied engineering, software engineering, computer science, or a related field, preferred. * 5+ years of relevant professional experience. * French: A1 (Basic) * English: C1 (Advanced); this position requires interaction with international clients. * Ability to travel up to 20%. * Strong general understanding of computer operations, including file systems, file navigation, and system settings. * Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.). * Basic understanding of remote system access. * Comfort working with configuration files and navigating servers. * Ability to collect and analyze data to identify software defects. * Ability to distinguish configuration issues from development bugs and submit highly detailed defect reports to the development team. * Attention to detail: ability to accurately update and synchronize configurations across numerous servers. * Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues. * Ability to translate complex technical problems into clear, client-friendly explanations. * Ability to identify root causes and simplify solutions for clients and/or management. * Ability to translate client requirements into system configurations. * Knowledge of SQL Server and MongoDB. * Understanding of or experience with an OMS or ADMS.
