Adherence to safety, quality, and good practice standards In this role, the production operator is responsible for supporting manufacturing activities by performing operational product fabrication tasks, following manufacturing standards and complying with safety, quality, productivity, service, and good practice guidelines. **Responsibilities** * Collaborates in weighing ingredients to meet recipe specifications and ensures correct ingredients are delivered to the work area. * Receives training on machinery operations for mixing, extruding/discharging, or handling materials according to operational procedures. * Inspects materials visually or physically to ensure compliance with established standards. * Performs all required machine cleaning. * Follows and complies with all safety and work regulations. * Maintains departmental cleanliness standards. * Receives and hands over shifts clearly, reporting the status of assigned processes. * Performs all required machine cleaning. **Physical Demands** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; bend; use hands to touch, handle objects, tools, or controls; speak and/or hear. Sitting is occasionally required. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated by the work area is required, such as safety glasses and shoes, dust masks, hard hats, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, chemical suits, gloves, aprons, etc. Noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate, except in high-noise zones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fume conditions.
