A land-based logistics company is seeking: PROCUREMENT MANAGER Position Purpose Ensure the efficient assignment and management of third-party vehicles for bulk cargo transportation. Responsible for freight rate negotiation, documentary and operational control of trips, and proper administrative closure of each operation, ensuring customer satisfaction. Main Functions Vehicle Management: Sourcing, assignment, and legal/regulatory validation of third-party drivers and vehicles (resumes, RUNT records, insurance policies). Negotiation: Agreeing upon and finalizing competitive freight rates based on route and market conditions. Documentary Control: Preparing dispatch manifests and shipping lists, and ensuring recovery of supporting documents upon trip completion. Tracking and Closure: Resolving in-transit incidents (delays, accidents) and validating documentation for freight settlement with accounting. Customer Service: Providing trip status updates and fostering loyalty among the carrier fleet. Requirements: Academic Level: Technical or Technologist degree in logistics, administration, transportation, or related fields. Experience: 1–3 years in the land-based cargo transportation sector.
