This position is responsible for actively pursuing and managing sales opportunities. Ensures timely and smooth business operations to properly deliver services. Assists in leading all day-to-day sales-related activities and focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve sales goals. Achieves individual sales targets.
**Candidate Profile**
**Education and Experience Requirements**
* Two-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality and Restaurant Management, or a related field from an accredited university; plus three years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
Or
* Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality and Restaurant Management, or a related field; plus one year of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
**Core Job Responsibilities**
**Building Successful Relationships That Generate Sales Opportunities**
* Collaborates with external hotel sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and complementary—not duplicative.
* Establishes and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to secure future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment events, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
* Develops relationships within the local community to broaden and strengthen the customer base for sales opportunities.
* Manages and builds relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Provides accurate, comprehensive, and effective revenue forecasts to the Banquet Management Department.
**Managing Sales Activities**
* Participates in sales calls with members of the sales team to generate new business and/or close deals.
* Executes and supports operational aspects of booking business (e.g., generating proposals, drafting contracts, writing customer letters).
**Leveraging Market Trends and Target Customer Insights to Maximize Revenue**
* Identifies new business opportunities to meet both individual and hotel revenue goals.
* Understands the overall market—including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand dynamics—and knows how to tailor sales approaches accordingly.
* Seizes optimal opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
* Understands the hotel’s primary target customers and service expectations; serves customers and delivers better business solutions by understanding their businesses, business challenges, and concerns.
**Delivering Exceptional Customer Service**
* Supports the company’s service and relationship strategies by delivering exceptional service during every customer interaction to enhance customer loyalty.
* Serves customers to increase market share.
* Executes and supports the company’s customer service standards.
* Delivers exceptional customer service aligned with the company’s daily service fundamentals.
* Sets a positive example for customer relationships.
* Interacts with guests and gathers feedback on product quality and service standards.
